A pre-departure briefing was held for Laksamana
College of Business students leaving for the United Kingdom in
September 2007.
Malcolm Taylor, head of International Recruitment Officer from
University of Glamorgan, presented a talk. Duncan Low from the
British High Commission briefed the students on student visas.
Twenty students will be continuing their studies in UK this year.
LCB has previously sent eight students to University of Glamorgan.
Eight students studied in Kensington College of Business, (London
Centre for University of Glamorgan) in 2006.
For the September 2007 intake, 11 students will pursue their
studies in Kensington College of Business (London Centre for the
University of Glamorgan), two students at University of Northumbria,
three students at University of Glamorgan and two to other UK
universities.

Local and international students are holding degrees achieved
from University of Glamorgan in UK.
One is now working as an auditor in a retail company based in
London after completing his BA (Hons), Business Studies in Glamorgan
University. He studied at LCB before continuing his degree in London
and obtaining a 2nd Upper Class Honours in Business Studies.
In the 2003 intake, an LCB student was working in an advertising
company in Germany before completing her degree in London, where she
obtained 1st Class Honours Degree from University of Glamorgan. The
college in London refunded her final year degree tuition fees as a
token of achievement.
A local student who took a course at LCB is now working as an
assistant manager in a retail company in Brunei. Another is a
government officer.
