This is no better way to celebrate a first anniversary than with dinner, music and a room full of friends!

Recently a business college marked its first anniversary at a dinner held at the Goldstone Ballroom, Centrepoint in Gadong.

The dinner saw the attendance of more than 100 excited students, teachers and lecturers as well as board members of the Laksamana College of Business. The guest of honour was Pehin Dato Paduka Hj Awg Abdul Hapidz bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laksamana Hj Awg Abd Razak, Laksamana College Board Director.

In his welcoming remarks, he said that the Laksamana College of Business was formed on March 18, 2003 and the number of students has increased. Various courses are offered to the students.

He added that the Laksamana College of Business or better known as "LCB" is one of the local colleges recognised by the Ministry of Education.

The college will acquire the privilege of "Partner College" from the Kensington College of Business and University of Glamorgan United Kingdom.

The event was highlighted by the cutting of the anniversary cake by the guest of honour.

The audience was entertained by the energetic music of a local band, "Sova X".

The night saw the presentation of prizes for "Mr and Miss LCB" along with "Best Dressed" and "Best Lecturer".

Hj Mohammad Khairul Rijal Mudim Hj Sapar won the "Mr LCB" title, while "Ms LCB" went to Thuraya Farhana Hj Said. The "Best Dress" title was won by Latifah Dato Paduka Hj Yakob who wore a stunning green cheongsam. Mr Sivarajah S was judged "Best Lecturer".

Later the students hit the dance floor as DJ Felix spun the music. Neon lights flashed across the hall and all the students had a great time! In fact, they are already looking forward to the next anniversary dinner.
