Private sector plays a vital role in improving and expanding the country's education infrastructures to meet the lack of facilities for courses thus reducing the country's dependency on education facilities abroad, said the Deputy Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Paduka Haji Suyoi, during the graduation ceremony of Laksamana College of Business held at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong yesterday afternoon.

Thirty-six students who had successfully completed their foundation courses and first year degree course in Business Studies at the Laksamana College of Business attended the ceremony.

The minister, who was the guest of honour at the function, said the Ministry of Education is proud with the college's successful achievement in assisting the government to provide higher education to the people as well as to train skilled manpower in the country.

He hoped that such achievement will be an incentive for the college as well as for other private institutions to broaden their courses.
