Laksamana College offers IELTS course

'O' level students who would like to upgrade their English language skills can do so now at Laksamana College of Business in Jalan Tutong.

Starting next month, Laksamana College of Business will be offering IELTS or International English Language Testing System courses in Brunei Darussalam.

IELTS is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work in countries where English is the main language of communication. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of language assessment and covers the four language skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. The assessment is recognised by universities and employers in countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

IELTS can help students who want to go overseas but fail do so due to their poor 'O' Level English language result to obtain the necessary English qualification to enter universities or colleges.

Working people could also improve and upgrade their English through IELTS as the assessment and learning materials not only cater for the needs of students. The qualification obtained from IELTS is also recognised by many employers around the world including Brunei, which will also enhance the employment opportunity of people looking for a job.
