STUDENTS of
the Laksamana College of Business (LCB) were given another
talk prior to their departure to the United Kingdom for
further studies.
The briefing was presented by the Principal of Kensington
College of Business (KCB), who is also the Principal for LCB,
Ian Pirie.
The 29 students attending the briefing were told of what to
expect when they were at the UK to pursue the remaining years
of their Business Degrees in their respective choice of
Universities.
Among the important information that the principal brought
up was health, educational facilities such as library and IT,
welfare and accommodation.
He also highlighted the new law that was enforced in March
by the UK government on the opportunity for students to be
allowed to work in the country for a period of one year after
completing their degree programmes.
Yesterday's briefing was held especially for students who
have chosen to complete their studies in a twinning programme
with Kensington College of Business.
The briefing was followed by a Question and Answer session.
Also present were the directors of LCB, Hj Suhaimei Hj
Besar and Sri Ramachandran, who is also a director of KCB.
Laksamana College of Business is a subsidiary of Kensington
College of Business, London.
Established in Brunei in 2003 as professional business
course provider, which is the reason that students are given
the opportunity to go on a twinning programme as part of their
studies.
In the last talk held on July 4, 2007, students were
briefed by representatives from University of Glamorgan and
British High Commission in the sultanate.
