LCB known as Laksamana College of Business was officially launched by the Deputy Minister of Education, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, on 18th March 2003. Established in Brunei as Business Course provider, LCB is a subsidiary of Kensington College of Business (KCB), London. LCB is also a partnership between Abdul Razak Holding, Brunei and KCB, London.
Located at the most strategic area in Bandar Seri Begawan, LCB provides courses ranging from academic to professional qualifications. Students at LCB have the opportunity to choose from our wide range of courses in either Business or Computing.
One of the programs that LCB offers is the Academic Pathway which is accredited by Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council. The Cambridge International Diploma in Business, University Foundation Course (UFC) and BA Common Year 1 are taken throughout this pathway with duration of 3 years in Brunei and another 2 years in United Kingdom, to fulfill a degree in any of the four areas: Business Studies, Marketing, Business Information Management, Accounting and Finance.
Besides the Academic Pathway, LCB also offers the Professional Pathway. The KCB Diplomas in Business Management are conducted at LCB through KCB, London whereby a qualification is awarded at each stage of the course. In addition to the Academic and Professional pathways, LCB, Brunei also offers the LCCI International Qualification Diplomas via its collaboration with the London Chamber of Commerce Industry.
As of year 2008, LCB has also ventured into corporate training specifically focusing on IT professional certification such as IC3, A+ and N+. Recently, with the launch of BTEC HNC & HND in Computing programs in May 2010, LCB endeavors to also establish itself as an IT Course provider in Brunei.
After more than half a decade since its establishment, LCB has successfully provided approximately over 600 local and international students with the opportunity to further their education in an affordable and comfortable environment. Since 2003, LCB has proudly produced more than 50 graduates whom have completed their studies in various Universities in UK. Two of the top rankings Business Schools which LCB is in link with, through KCB, London, are the University of Wales and Northumbria University, UK.
